Signing Ceremony between E.A. Technique (M) Sdn Bhd and Sg. Udang Port Sdn Bhd (SUPSB)
E.A. Technique (M) Sdn Bhd had signed an agreement with SUPSB for the provision and operation of 1 x 40 Tonnes Bollard Pull Utility Tug, 1 x 25 Tonnes Bollard Pull Utility Tug and 2 x 40 Tonnes Bollard Pull Harbour Tug for long term time charter of 10 years. These vessels are expected to be delivered in October 2011.

Keel Laying Ceremony
The steel cutting and keel laying ceremonies of the new harbour tugboats for E.A. Technique (M) Sdn Bhd were recently carried out at Johor Shipyard and Engineering, Teluk Intan, Perak, Malaysia. The steel cutting of the new vessels were done on the 10/11/2010 and the keel laying were done on the 23/11/2010. The hull numbers and the names of the newbuildings are as follows:-
- Hull No: JSE/HT 004 (M.T. Nautica Tanjung Puteri XI)
- Hull No: JSE/HT 005 (M.T. Nautica Tanjung Puteri XII)
- Hull No: JSE/HT 006 (M.T. Nautica Tanjung Puteri XIII)
- Hull No: JSE/HT 007 (M.T. Nautica Tanjung Puteri XIV)
The vessels will be designed by Sina Marine Pte Ltd/Berkat Global Sdn Bhd and classed to Bureau Veritas’ highest standard for harbour tugboats. The 40 Ton Bollard Pull vessels will be powered by Niigata Diesel and the 25 Ton Bollard Pull vessel will be powered by Daihatsu Diesel.
The keel laying ceremonies for all the vessels were attended by EAT’s Managing Director, representatives from owners/shipyard/BV and also the imam, who said the prayer. Keel laying of the vessels were graced by Ms Farrah Radziah, the daughter of Dato’ Ir Abdul Hak Md Amin.

Launching of - MT NAUTICA MAHARANI
MT Nautica Maharani (10000 DWT Fuel Oil Tanker) has been successfully launched on 22 October 2010 at Johor Shipyard and Engineering Sdn Bhd, Teluk Intan, Perak. MT Nautica Maharani is the 17th vessel in the company’s fleet and was designed same as MT Nautica Kota Tinggi and MT Nautica Batu Pahat. This oil tanker is powered by one Daihatsu Engine (6DKM-36F) of 3309KW and four auxiliary engines by Cummins Diesel Engine. This new double hull tanker was constructed to carry about 9800MT of cargoes and 24 crews onboard.
M.T. Nautica Batu Pahat (10000 DWT Product Tanker) was successfully on hired by Petronas Trading Corporation (PETCO) on the 30th June 2010 to start the 10 years’ time charter contract (with option for another 3 years) after she has undergone a vigorous inspection routine by Petronas Maritime Services Sdn Bhd.
The sister vessel M.T. Nautica Kota Tinggi was delivered to Petronas Trading Corporation (PETCO) on the 3rd Sept 2010. Another vessel M.T. Nautica Maharani (10000DWT Black Oil Tanker) which is in the final stage of construction at Teluk Intan, Perak, is expected to be delivered to PETCO on or around middle of November 2010. E.A. Technique (M) Sdn Bhd was awarded the time charter contract in 2008 by PETCO after stiff competition with more than 10 shipping companies.
In August 2010, E. A. Technique (M) Sdn Bhd was officially awarded a 10 years’ (with 3 years’ option) time charter contract to supply 4 brand new harbour tugboats to Sungai Udang Port Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary company of Petronas. The vessels will be built at E.A. Technique (M) Sdn Bhd wholly owned shipyard in Perak. With this new contract, E. A. Technique (M) Sdn Bhd now provide a complete marine services (tugboats, mooring boats, security boat and mooring gangs) to two well established petro chemical ports ( Sungai Udang Port and Kerteh Port) that belong to Petronas.

MV. Nautica Tg. Puteri IX was officially launched on 20th February 2010 at Johor Shipyard and Engineering Sdn Bhd, Teluk Intan by Yg. Bhg. Datin Hamidah Omar.
This 17.00 meter mooring boat is powered by 2 Cummins engines of 800HP and will be operating at Kertih Port, Kemaman Terengganu.

Launching of M.T. Kota Tinggi
The 14th vessel in the Company’s fleet namely MT Nautica Kota Tinggi was launched on 15th January 2010 by Yg. Bhg. Puan Sri Datin Noorzilah Muhammad Ali accompanied by Yg. Bhg. Datin Hamidah Omar.
As a sister-ship of MT Nautica Batu Pahat, the vessel’s specification meets to oil major requirements and ready to sail in 2nd Quarter 2010.
